Michael Carliner is an economic consultant
specializing in housing and construction. He has
done extensive research into the dynamics of
national and regional housing markets and
conducted studies of related subjects such as
demographic trends, consumer preferences, use of
building materials, structure of the home building
industry, and housing finance.

From 1984 to 2006 he was the Staff Vice President
for Economics at the National Association of Home
